About CTET

CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in India for candidates who want to pursue a career in teaching

The Central Teacher Eligibility Examination is administered by CBSE twice a year. On March 3, 2023, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the CTET 2023 results on their official website, https://ctet.nic.in/ . The Central Teachers Eligibility Test or CTET was held from December 28, 2022, through February 7, 2023.

To qualify for the teacher role, many people took CTET Paper 1 and Paper 2. A student needs to receive a score of at least 60% to pass the CTET exam. In addition, the official website now includes the mark sheet and eligibility certificate. There is now no CTET age limit according to the most recent announcement. Candidates of any age can submit the form online.

Examination Format and Passing Criteria for CBSE CTET 2023

Those who achieve the minimum passing score on the CTET Test in 2023 would be qualified to apply for teaching positions with both the public and commercial sectors in India.

The exam is divided into two sections, referred to as Paper I and Paper II. Candidates who wish to teach classes I through V should take Paper I, while those who want to teach courses VI through VIII should take Paper II, however a student can appear for both Paper I and Paper II as well . There is no negative marking for incorrect answers. To qualify for the CTET exam, candidates must score a minimum of 60% marks (i.e., 90 out of 150) on both papers.

Paper I consists of 150 MCQs of one mark each, divided into five sections, i.e., Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. The duration of the exam is two and a half hours.

Paper II also consists of 150 MCQs of one mark each, divided into four sections, i.e., Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics and Science or Social Studies/Social Science. The duration of the exam is two and a half hours.

However, candidates can gain an idea of the minimum qualifying marks needed to pass the CTET exam based on the cut-off scores from the previous year. The minimum qualifying score needed to take the CTET exam last year was 90 out of 150, or 60%. It's vital to remember that attaining the cut-off scores doesn't ensure being hired as a teacher. Candidates must pass other eligibility requirements and the hiring procedure in addition to passing the CTET in order to be chosen for a teaching position.
