Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Animation/Film Design Assistant/Associate Professor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in animation, including but not limited to 2D animation, 3D animation, character design, storyboarding, film making, motion graphics and animation history.
The Animation/Film Design Assistant/Associate Professor will be expected to develop and deliver engaging lectures, lead hands-on workshops, provide constructive feedback on student work, and participate in curriculum development. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Adobe Creative Suite tools, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Premiere Pro, along with proficiency in other contemporary software commonly used in the animation industry.
In addition to teaching responsibilities, the Animation/Film Design Assistant/Associate Professor will be expected to engage in scholarly research and creative activities, participate in departmental and university service, and mentor students in their academic and professional development.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a passion for teaching and mentoring students, and a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
