Role Overview
The Preschool Head will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the preschool's
operations, including admissions and enrollment, supporting teachers and staff in
implementing the program effectively, networking with stakeholders, managing day-to-day
operations and will play a crucial role in shaping the educational experience for young
learners, ensuring alignment with the IGCSE curriculum and preparing students for seamless
transition to our K-12 pre-school.
Responsibilities
- Admissions and Enrolment: Handle the admission process, including conducting interviews with prospective students and their families, and ensuring enrolment targets are met.
- Program Implementation: Support teachers and staff in effectively implementing the preschool program, including curriculum delivery, classroom management, and student assessment.
- Networking: Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including parents, local communities, and educational organizations, to enhance the preschool's reputation and reach.
- Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the preschool, including scheduling, resource management, and ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment for students.
- Administration Management: Manage administrative staff to ensure smooth functioning of the preschool, including handling documentation, record-keeping, and compliance with regulations.
- Curriculum Development: Develop, implement, and continuously improve the Pre-School curriculum to meet educational standards and the developmental needs of children; Incorporate diverse teaching strategies and learning activities that promote cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development; Ensure the curriculum is inclusive and culturally responsive, reflecting the diversity of the student body.
Profile
- Candidates who have previously served as pre-primary heads in schools.
- Individuals with experience in establishing and managing preschools, ideally with a background in education or related fields.
- Candidates with a proven track record in overseeing center operations.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in managing preschools abroad, particularly those implementing Reggio, Montessori, or International curriculums.
- Education Sector Professionals: Primary or High School coordinators from Cambridge/International schools who are eager to transition into a leadership role within a preschool setting.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or a related field.
- Proven experience in curriculum development and implementation, preferably in a preschool or early childhood education setting.
