Reports To: Director Principal
Job Summary: The Coordinator position is a multifaceted role encompassing leadership, academic oversight, administrative management, and teaching responsibilities within the senior wing. The primary objective is to ensure the success and growth of the senior wing while contributing to the overall excellence of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Oversight: • Develop and implement curriculum plans, ensuring alignment with academic standards and objectives. • Monitor and evaluate the academic progress of students, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary interventions. • Collaborate with teaching staff to promote innovative and effective teaching methodologies.
Administrative Management: • Manage day-to-day administrative operations of the senior wing, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation. • Collaborate with the Director Principal to establish and enforce school policies and procedures. • Assist in the recruitment and training of teaching staff for the senior wing. Student Support: • Provide guidance and counseling to senior wing students as needed, addressing academic and behavioral concerns. • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to student development.
Parent and Stakeholder Engagement: • Foster effective communication with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to keep them informed of student progress and school activities. • Conduct regular meetings and conferences to address parental concerns and gather feedback.
PGT Teaching: • Conduct Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) classes in the specialized subject area, delivering high-quality instruction to senior wing students. • Develop lesson plans, assessments, and materials to facilitate effective teaching and learning.
Curriculum Development: • Collaborate with subject departments to review and update the curriculum to meet evolving educational needs and standards. • Integrate technology and innovative teaching practices into the curriculum.
Data Analysis and Reporting: • Collect and analyze academic data to assess student performance and make data-driven decisions. • Prepare and submit regular reports on the academic and administrative status of the senior wing to the Director Principal.
Qualifications: • Degree in Education • Relevant teaching experience in the specialized subject area. • Strong leadership and organizational skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. • Familiarity with educational technology and curriculum development. • Prior experience in an administrative or coordination role in a school setting is preferred. • Knowledge of National Education Policy (NEP) and National Curriculum Framework (NCF).
