Job Description

The Academic Incharge for School is responsible for overseeing and managing the academic programs and activities of the school. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of educational principles and practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement academic policies and procedures to ensure effective teaching and learning.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of teachers and academic staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Coordinate curriculum development and ensure alignment with educational standards and objectives.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate interventions.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop instructional strategies and materials that enhance student engagement and achievement.
  • Organize and oversee professional development programs for teachers to enhance their teaching skills and knowledge.
  • Manage the school's academic budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support teaching and learning.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns or issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with educational trends and research, incorporating innovative practices into the school's academic programs.
  • Participate in school leadership meetings and contribute to the overall strategic planning and decision-making process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in an academic leadership role, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of educational principles, curriculum development, and instructional strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage and motivate a team of teachers and academic staff.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and software.
  • Knowledge of relevant educational regulations and standards.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to providing quality learning experiences for students.
