Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Academic Counsellor at Scholar Gypsy Overseas Education Consultants. The Academic Counsellor will be responsible for providing student counselling, career counselling, and academic advising. They will guide students in making informed decisions about their education, help them create a personalized career plan, and assist with application processes and visa assistance. This is an excellent opportunity for freshers or candidates with 0-2 years of experience who are passionate about guiding students in their academic journey.

Responsibilities:

• Provide personalized academic counselling to students, assisting them in understanding program requirements, career options, and academic goals.
• Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions to address individual student needs and concerns.
• Collaborate with academic staff to ensure effective communication and support for students.
• Stay updated on educational programs, industry trends, and career opportunities.
• Participate in outreach programs and events to promote academic services.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills in English and Malayalam
• Bachelor's degree in any field
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
• Organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Experience in student counselling, career counselling, and academic advising is desirable
• Knowledge of education systems and university admissions processes is desirable
