The Academic Counsellor plays a crucial role in supporting students throughout their academic journey at the college/university. The primary responsibilities include providing guidance and support to students in academic planning, course selection, and career development. The Academic Counsellor will work closely with students to help them set academic goals, develop study skills, and navigate any challenges they may face during their time at the institution.
Key duties of the Academic Counsellor include conducting one-on-one counselling sessions with students, creating academic success plans, and monitoring student progress. The Academic Counsellor will also collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure students receive the necessary support and resources to succeed academically. Additionally, the Academic Counsellor may assist with organizing workshops, seminars, and other events to promote student success and engagement.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in counselling or education, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for helping students achieve their academic goals. Experience working in a college or university setting is preferred.
