Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Admissions Counselor at NIMR. The Admissions Counselor will be responsible for assisting prospective students throughout the admissions process, providing information about the various programs offered, conducting admissions interviews, and guiding students in making informed decisions about their education.
- Highlighting the benefits of NIMR programs, and courses in order to attract students and encourage diversity on campus.
- Helping students choose courses and extracurricular activities that will help them get into their chosen careers after graduation.
- Staying current with college admission processes and requirements, majors, and courses, and developments in education and financial aid.
- Organizing admission events and representing NIMR at college fairs, and other promotional opportunities.
- Conducting interviews, reviewing student application materials, and assisting in the admissions decision-making process.
- Arranging campus tours and conducting information sessions.
- Developing and maintaining an active alumni network to plan events, help students find opportunities in their fields.
- Maintaining accurate and current knowledge of educational legislation, trends, developments, and resources.
- Helping students prepare for academic selections
- Capturing the attention of students by stating the key benefits and offerings of a particular course, program, or even an institution
- Providing information on the various admission procedures and requirements
- Counselling & follow up with prospective students via Phone, Email and in person.
- Handling inbound & outbound calls & converting leads into admissions.
- Resolving student & parents queries over telephone, emails and walk-ins.
- Maintain effective communication till the time the learner is on board.
- Maintain admission guidelines as per the criteria, policies and procedures.
- Generate MIS Reports on a periodic basis.
Qualifications
- Interpersonal Communication, Communication, and Customer Service skills
- Experience in sales or education
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with prospective students
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Knowledge of the education industry and admissions processes is a plus
- Experience in college admissions, tele-counselling, education sales / marketing will be preferred.
- Familiarity with college and university programs, majors, admissions requirements and processes, and scholarship and financial aid resources.
- Excellent active listening, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong planning and people reading skills. Confident & Energetic with high energy and positive approach.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized.
- Willingness to guide others and provide ongoing support as they make important decisions.
