About the Role - Alumni Relations Manager

Job Location- Visakhapatnam & Bengaluru

The Directorate of External Relations is a strategic initiative at GITAM Deemed to be University, which works closely with all academic and functional leaders on campus and our alumni community to forge strong and meaningful relations with industry, corporate, and research leaders in India and abroad.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to strengthen alumni connections, increase engagement, and foster a sense of pride and loyalty among alumni.
• Manage alumni communications, including newsletters, social media, and other marketing materials.
• Coordinate alumni events and initiatives, including reunions, networking events, and mentorship programs.
• Oversee the management of alumni chapters and volunteer networks.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to leverage alumni expertise and support for the benefit of the University.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) with 3-5 years of experience in community building or project management.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives to achieve organizational goals.
• Experience in event planning, marketing, and communications preferred.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Graphic designing skills are a plus for creating visual content.
