We are seeking an application advisor to support the student application process effectively and efficiently, with a high attention to detail and strict adherence to agreed-upon timescales, procedures, and processes. The role entails being the first point of contact and representing the university to prospective students, agents, and customers of INTO University Partnerships, delivering top-level customer service. Additionally, the advisor will be responsible for effectively collating complete applications for our partner universities.
Responsibilities:
- Meet assigned expectations and outcomes regarding turnaround times, customer service, region-specific knowledge, and other performance indicators.
- Ensure meticulous attention to detail and uphold the integrity of all information entered into systems efficiently.
- Maintain an accurate database with minimal errors in data processing and strict adherence to processes.
- Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers, prioritizing attention to detail and swift response times.
- Develop expertise in all INTO partnership-based programs and process information, including PW and Direct Entry.
- Clearly and concisely request necessary data and documents.
- Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in fostering a positive workplace and achieving goals.
- Differentiate academic documents and conduct initial assessments to determine suitability for admissions review.
- Offer advising support to agents and/or students during the initial application process.
- Cultivate relationships with regional staff and partners to ensure success through trust and strong rapport.
- Maintain accountability to assigned tasks and workflow on a daily and weekly basis.
- Display agility in adapting to evolving processes.
- Communicate clearly in both written and verbal communications with students, agents, and university partners.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills.
- Assist Training Lead in training and developing new department staff.
- Collaborate in the development of ongoing training materials and tools under the guidance of the Training Lead.
- Demonstrate proficiency in product information and program requirements.
- Stay updated on new products as business relationships expand.
- Conduct research to provide timely solutions in time-sensitive situations.
- Cross-train in various functions to enhance role efficiency.
- Contribute effectively within a team environment to deliver strong results.
- Attain proficiency in job duties and processes within the first 3 months of employment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience working in a busy administration department.
- Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
- Ability to communicate, build, and manage relationships with peers, senior managers, University stakeholders, external vendors, parents, and students from a range of linguistic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Strong decision-making and critical thinking skill set and ability to view processes holistically.
- Strong computer and data entry skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Extremely high attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Knowledge of key Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to demonstrate resolve in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working independently but also collaboratively when necessary.
- Able to accept direction, feedback, and constructive criticism.
- Ability to identify gaps in process and create solutions that can be used by all.
- Experience dealing with challenging customers and stakeholders.

- An interest in other nationalities and cultures.
- Experience with Salesforce or another similar database.
- Previous experience of working in student admissions or student services.
- Experience in the English language training and higher education market.
- Understanding of international student needs.
