About the Role: The role requires to work in the Finance team and will be responsible for Accounting matters, Grant Management and reporting for FCRA & Domestic funded projects in accordance with Ashoka University Policies, procedures, industry standards, as well as clients’ needs. Must have capability in writing proposals.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Work effectively with all internal stakeholders (VPs, HODs, Deans, Founders, etc.) and manage administrative and operational responsibilities for the funded projects of all centers and departments with a solid handle on workflow management, timelines and deliverables.
- Maintain grant tracker
- Keep track of sub-award and visit for financial review of the sub-awardee and other contracts.
- Provide assistance in budget monitoring and mid-term budget amendment.
- Prepare bank reconciliation on monthly basis and follow-up on outstanding issues.
- Ensure timely disbursement of funds to all the stakeholders for the effective implementation of the project.
- Extend necessary support activities in both external and internal audit, assisting in preparation of response and in the implementation of the recommendations.
Eligibility:
- Post graduation in commerce, with 4-5 years of experience
- MBA and/or PG diploma in finance will be an added advantage
- Relevant work experience in both commercial and development sectors, with exposure to FCRA and Grant Management function will be desirable
