Purpose Statement
The job of Assistant Network Administrator is to ensure the stable operation of the Casa Grande Elementary School District 4 network infrastructure. This includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing all new and existing network hardware, software, and communication links. This position will also ensure the stability and integrity of voice, data, video, security and wireless network services. This job reports to Network Administrator

Skills, Knowledge And Abilities
SKILLS are required to perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to periodically upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: preparing and maintaining accurate records; planning and managing projects; operating standard office equipment; and utilizing pertinent software applications.
KNOWLEDGE is required to perform algebra and/or geometry; review and interpret highly technical information, write technical materials, and/or speak persuasively to implement desired actions; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes:
ABILITY is required to schedule a number of activities, meetings, and/or events; routinely gather, collate, and/or classify data; and consider a variety of factors when using equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others in a variety of circumstances; analyze data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using a variety of processes. Ability is also required to work with a wide diversity of individuals; work with a variety of data; and utilize a variety of types of job-related equipment. In working with others, problem solving is required to identify issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data requires analysis based on organizational objectives; and problem solving with equipment is moderate to significant. Specific abilities required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: meeting deadlines and schedules; setting priorities; working with constant interruptions; maintaining confidentiality; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships; working with detailed information/data; and ability to read, write and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods; leading, guiding, and/or coordinating others; and operating within a defined budget. Utilization of resources from other work units may be required to perform the job's functions.
Working Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 25% sitting, 25% walking, and 50% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and a generally hazard free environment. In addition, expect occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines and on-call availability for emergency issues.
Experience And Education
Associate’s Degree in information systems or related field.
3 years of work experience in network administration.
Cisco Certified Network Associate certification preferred
