Role And Responsibilities

IKC is seeking an Assistant Professor/Faculty Associate in Interior Design who is passionate about teaching both core and elective courses in the subjects of B.Sc Interior Design. The candidate must have minimum 3-5 years of Field Experience in Interior Designing Work. Teaching experience is desirable. The faculty member should have good exposure in planning and executing interior design work and make teaching more effective and interesting to the students through the use of multimedia or the latest digital platforms teaching aids. Faculty member will be required to plan and make complete preparation well in advance to effectively teach the theory and practical courses. He/she should prepare the schedule of lectures with topics, tests, assignments, demonstrations, screening of video or PowerPoint presentations, etc., in advance and the students should be informed of the same. He/she is also required to provide their full support in organizing various events and programs on the campus.

Candidate Qualifications

• First-class Master’s Degree in relevant discipline
• OR Minimum 55% Marks at Master’s Degree in M.Arch/M.Des in Interior Design or Furniture Design, Ph.D
• NET qualification or equivalent as per the UGC guidelines in relevant disciplines.
• Ph.D. or Pursuing a Ph.D. from a reputed Institute / University Desirable.
• PUBLICATIONS (BOOK/PAPER/ANY OTHER) in reputed journals.

Computer Proficiency

• Accustomed with Microsoft Office - Preferably advanced level
• Familiarity working with G Suite Applications
