Bhumi’s Skill-Ed programme improves employability of youth by upskilling that widens their career opportunities and secures a sustainable livelihood. Skill-Ed is focussed on IT and soft-skills training.
An ideal candidate for this position should have a strong background in tech skilling and programme management.
The Associate Director will be responsible for efficient and effective running of the programme and for driving the overall strategic direction of the program. They will have to ensure 10x more youth in sustainable careers over the next 3 years.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Identify the skills that are currently in demand in the industry and ensure we build the curriculum that provides exposure and hands-on training for the youth .
- Oversee the efficient and effective day-to-day operations including effective delivery of the sessions, assessments, impact evaluation, volunteer mobilisation, communication, budgeting & finance.
- Build structures, systems to support the execution of the programmes with a focus on continuous learning, improvement, and rapid growth.
- Collaborate with Academic Institutions, NGOs, corporates, funders, government & the community to increase the reach and impact of the programmes
- Collaborate with Corporate entities for placement of skilled youth in relevant careers with reasonable pay and accountability for 50% placements of the upskilled students in relevant careers
Other Responsibilities include:
- Create Learning and Development programs for the trainers to ensure they are updated and also building in-house capacity of taking up new industry advancements.
- Collaborate with Bhumi teams and partner NGOs who work with similar beneficiaries and extend support for upskilling them
- Collaborate with the Bhumi’s civic and corporate volunteering teams to maximise volunteer engagement
Preferred Education Qualification / Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in skill-development and at least 2 -3 years in tech skilling
- Prior experience in project management and leading teams is mandatory.
- Any Graduate.

- Should have an good understanding of either IT Skilling or the Skilling eco-system generally or both
- Strong leadership development and team building capabilities
