Job Description
"The instructor will teach General, Airframe, or Powerplant curriculum, or a combination of these competencies as required under Part 147 of the Federal Aviation Regulations. The instructor will be required to provide students with classroom and hands-on experience that meet the standards of -and comply with- the requirements established by the Federal Aviation Administration. The instructor will maintain an organized classroom and ensure that the lab is OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) compliant and adheres to their practices .
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Certification:
• Hold Ohio Certification /Licensure CTWD 170401 (Aircraft Maintenance) and/or 170400 (Aviation Occupations)
• or have the ability to obtain based on the Ohio Department of Education’s Licensing requirements for Career-Technical Education which will require college coursework
• Must possess an FAA Powerplant/Airframe Rating, with Inspection Authorization preferred
Specific Job-Related Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in the field preferred with at least two (2) years experience in the field or 5 or more recent/current years work experience as an Aviation Mechanic or closely related field based on the Ohio Department of Education’s Licensing requirements for Career-Technical Education"
