Responsibilities:
Program Development and Management:
- Develop and oversee study abroad programs in collaboration with academic departments, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and academic standards.
- Coordinate program logistics, including program itineraries, accommodation arrangements, transportation, and cultural activities.
- Manage program budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining program quality.
Partnership Building:
- Establish and maintain partnerships with universities, colleges, and educational institutions worldwide to expand study abroad opportunities for students.
- Cultivate relationships with international partners, fostering collaboration and exchange opportunities.
- Negotiate agreements and contracts with partner institutions and service providers.
Student Advising and Support:
- Provide comprehensive pre-departure orientation and advising to students, covering topics such as academic planning, cultural adaptation, health and safety, and travel logistics.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for students during their study abroad experience, offering guidance, support, and assistance as needed.
- Address student concerns and emergencies promptly and effectively, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure student well-being.
Marketing and Recruitment:
- Develop marketing strategies to promote study abroad programs and attract a diverse pool of applicants.
- Represent the institution at recruitment events, conferences, and fairs to engage with prospective students and partners.
- Create promotional materials, website content, and social media campaigns to enhance program visibility and outreach.
Data Management and Assessment:
- Maintain accurate records of program participants, activities, and outcomes.
- Collect feedback from students, faculty, and partners to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Generate reports and analyze data to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in international education, higher education administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in study abroad program management, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in international education, including risk management, cross-cultural communication, and student support services.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite, database management systems, and online collaboration tools.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
