Aksent, Chennai's leading Online English Training Academy is actively looking out for Academic Sales Counsellors. (Experienced - 1 to 5 years)

Job Location: Remote/ Work From Home

As a Sales Representative for our English training academy, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our language training programs to prospective students and organizations. Your role will involve building strong relationships with potential clients, understanding their needs, and effectively communicating the benefits of our courses. Your enthusiasm, persuasive skills, and ability to meet sales targets will contribute to the growth and success of our academy.

Responsibilities

Sales and Customer Engagement:

  • Proactively reach out to prospective individual customers through various channels (phone calls, emails, social media, etc.).
  • Identify customer needs and effectively communicate the benefits of our English training programs to drive enrollments.
  • Engage potential customers in persuasive conversations to build interest, address inquiries, and overcome objections.

Consultative Selling:

  • Conduct needs assessments to understand customers' language learning goals, proficiency levels, and preferred learning methods.
  • Recommend appropriate English training programs, courses, and learning materials based on customers' needs and objectives.
  • Provide personalized guidance and advice to customers to ensure they make informed decisions regarding their language learning journey.

Enrollment Process:

  • Guide customers through the enrollment process, including registration, payment, and necessary documentation.
  • Assist customers in understanding course schedules, curriculum details, and other program-related information.
  • Collaborate with the student support team to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for enrolled students.

Relationship Building:

  • Build strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional customer service and ongoing support.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers to address their inquiries, concerns, and provide progress updates.
  • Foster customer loyalty and retention by engaging in follow-ups, nurturing relationships, and addressing customer feedback.

Meeting Sales Targets Under Pressure:

  • Thrive in a target-driven environment and consistently meet or exceed assigned sales targets.
  • Work effectively under pressure, managing time and resources to achieve sales goals within specified timelines.
  • Adapt sales strategies and approaches to overcome challenges and maintain performance in dynamic market conditions.

Sales Reporting and Analysis:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and outcomes in CRM or sales management systems.
  • Track sales performance metrics, such as leads generated, conversions, and revenue, and provide regular reports to management.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in the sales process.

Market and Competitor Research:

  • Stay informed about the market trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments related to English language training.
  • Conduct research to identify target markets, customer segments, and potential sales opportunities.
  • Utilize market insights to tailor sales approaches, messaging, and promotional strategies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in B2C sales, preferably in the education or training industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with individual customers.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, even under pressure.
  • Excellent consultative selling and negotiation skills to understand customer needs and provide tailored recommendations.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline effectively.
  • Familiarity with CRM software or sales management tools for tracking customer interactions and sales activities.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, with the ability to effectively communicate the value of our training programs to customers.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
