Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Cambridge English Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching English as a second language and a strong understanding of the Cambridge English curriculum. This role involves designing engaging lesson plans, delivering effective instruction, and assessing student progress to ensure academic success.

Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Development: Develop and implement effective lesson plans in accordance with the Cambridge English curriculum framework.
• Instruction: Deliver engaging and interactive English language instruction to students of varying proficiency levels.
• Assessment: Design and administer assessments to evaluate student progress and proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
• Feedback: Provide constructive feedback to students to support their learning and language development.
• Individualized Support: Offer additional support to students who require extra assistance in mastering English language skills.
• Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to student learning and growth.
• Parent Communication: Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
• Professional Development: Stay informed about best practices in language teaching and participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, ideas, and strategies for effective language instruction.
• Administrative Tasks: Complete administrative tasks such as maintaining attendance records, grading assignments, and reporting student progress.

Requirements:

• Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field is required. A teaching certification and/or relevant teaching experience is preferred.
• Cambridge English Proficiency: Proficiency in the Cambridge English curriculum and assessment frameworks, including knowledge of Cambridge English exams (e.g., PET, FCE, CAE).
• Teaching Skills: Strong instructional skills with the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Passion for Teaching: A genuine passion for teaching English as a second language and helping students achieve their language learning goals.
• Cultural Sensitivity: Cultural sensitivity and awareness when working with students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
• Technology Proficiency: Comfort with integrating technology into the classroom to enhance learning experiences.
• Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the school community.
