Post/Job Title: Case Writer– Centre for Teaching and Learning (Consultant)

Job Purpose: The consultant is expected to assist the faculty members at IIM Bangalore (IIMB) in developing high quality teaching cases for publication.

Type of Engagement: A Consultant role, the engagement would be for a period of one-year, extendable based on candidates’ performance and institute’s requirement.

Reporting to : Associate Manager – Centre for Teaching and Learning

Will also closely work with IIMB faculty members, CTL team, and various internal departments in the Institute and external vendors, as and when required.

Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• with faculty to develop case studies and course materials including teaching notes, teaching plans, and other related content.
• research and gathering information and data through interviews, the library, and other resources required for case writing.

Qualification and Personal Profile

• candidate should be a Graduate in English/Journalism/Communication or Business/Management studies.
• master’s degree in the relevant field is desirable.
• minimum of two years’ experience in case writing.

Key Skill and Ability Requirements

• strong command of the English language
• ability to convert ideas and insights discussed by faculty into content suitable for case studies.
• in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• to transcribe and maintain qualitative data, edit content and express ideas in a structured manner suitable for teaching cases.
• knowledge of business, government, and institutions that is necessary to relate to the content of the cases.
• skills to work with peers and faculty members.
• to learn and absorb new ideas and follow the latest development in the fields of business, government, and institutions.

Compensation

The Consultant fee would be Rs. 40,000 per month (includes all applicable taxes and services charges).
