Location: Mysuru, Karnataka

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Child Psychologist who will play a crucial role in providing guidance and support to our students, fostering their emotional well-being and creating a positive learning environment. If you are passionate about helping children thrive academically and emotionally, we invite you to join our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations of students to identify emotional, behavioural, and developmental concerns.
  • Provide individual and group counselling sessions to students dealing with various challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school administrators to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
  • Develop behaviour intervention plans (BIPs) for students with challenging behaviours.
  • Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals and accommodations.
  • Offer workshops and seminars to enhance students' social and emotional skills.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student cases and provide insights.
  • Stay updated with the latest research and trends in child psychology and education.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in School Psychology or Child Psychology with a focus on child and adolescent psychology.
  • Experience of working with students from grade 9 to 12.
  • Certification or licensure as a school psychologist, if required by the state or school district.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in child psychology or related field.
  • Strong assessment, counselling, and crisis intervention skills.
  • Proficiency in English with the ability to communicate complex psychological concepts effectively.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Familiarity with various therapeutic techniques and interventions for children.
  • Knowledge of school policies, educational laws, and regulations related to student services.
