About the Role:
As a Child Specialist at our centre, you blend the expertise of child psychology with the nurturing approach of an educator, making you a pivotal figure in our students' developmental journey. Your role involves supporting children's emotional, social, and educational growth, ensuring they have a positive and enriching learning experience. With your deep understanding of child development, you'll provide tailored support, helping each child thrive in our centre.
Key Responsibilities:
Emotional and Social Support:
• Provide targeted individual and group support to address children's emotional and social challenges, promoting a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere.
Educational Collaboration:
• Collaborate closely with teachers to integrate supportive strategies that meet diverse learning needs, enabling personalised educational experiences for each student.
Parental Guidance:
• Offer expert counselling and guidance to parents, equipping them with strategies to support their children’s development both at home and within the educational setting.
Workshops and Programs:
• Design and implement parent and child programs and workshops aimed at enhancing student well-being, resilience, and social skills, contributing to a comprehensive approach to education.
Student Engagement:
• Develop initiatives and activities to increase student engagement in the centre, fostering a sense of belonging and enthusiasm for learning among all children.
Tracking Student Progress and Interventions:
• Monitor student progress closely, using data and observations to identify those in need of additional support. Design and implement interventions to assist students facing challenges in their learning journey.
Crisis Management:
• Provide immediate and effective support in situations of emotional or social distress, ensuring the safety and well-being of students in crisis.
The Ideal Candidate:
• Experience: worked in a role focused on child psychology, counselling, or a related field within an educational environment.
• Expertise: Solid foundation in child development theories, psychological assessments, and tailored intervention strategies.
• Communication: Outstanding ability to communicate with children, parents, and educators, creating a collaborative environment that supports each child’s growth.
• Empathy and Sensitivity: Exceptional emotional intelligence, enabling deep connections with children and an understanding of their diverse needs and challenges.
