DP Computer science (Job Vacancy)

As an IB Diploma Programme Computer Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students enrolled in the IB Computer Science course. You will create engaging and challenging learning experiences that foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and computational skills. Additionally, you will support the school's commitment to the holistic development of students by participating in extracurricular activities and contributing to the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in accordance with the IB Computer Science curriculum.
• Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated to succeed.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.
• Utilize a variety of assessment methods to accurately measure student progress and achievement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units and projects.
• Stay informed about current trends and best practices in computer science education.
• Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Teaching certification or license in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience teaching the IB Diploma Programme Computer Science course is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, and SQL.
• Experience with project-based learning, inquiry-based instruction, and student-centered pedagogies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.
