Job Description Director – Engg. programs MPSTME Mumbai Campus – This is a leadership position that requires a combination of academic prowess and administrative skills, as also networking competencies. The Director will develop programs & shall work in close coordination with the Dean of the School. He/She should understand the emerging trends and opportunities and have creative and innovative bent of mind. Should be technology savvy, an institution builder, motivator, should be able to handle the faculty and academic administration of the school. He/She will look after the student affairs & placement activities. NMIMS is a looking for leaders who can develop and also deliver on the ground. The incumbent should have a Ph.D. in Engineering/Technology from a reputed University/Institute with at least 15 years of Academic and Administrative experience in the relevant field and similar institutions . Should have strong linkages & network with the industry & academics. Should be well acquainted with the various Accreditation Agencies and Statutory bodies as well as the procedures. The candidate should be either at a Professor’s level in a premier engineering school / university or Principal of a premier institution. In case the candidate is from the Industry then he/she should have 15-20 years of experience in the relevant field at senior managerial level or above. • Hosts several innovative & interdisciplinary programs along with conventional programs • Five undergraduate engineering programs are accredited by ABET • State-of-the art infrastructure facilities including modern labs for emerging areas of Robotics / AI / AR-VR / Additive Manufacturing • Strong industry connect - resulting in excellent placement record • Reputed international University and Industry partners • The Director should have exhibited academic excellence and leadership in reputed institutions • He/she will work closely with the Dean of the engineering faculty • With his / her leadership acumen, contribute to the vision, strategic direction of the school, establish & strengthen the academic and research ambience and culture • Maintain close connect with industry and structure the program in line with industry requirements
