Location: Southern NSW & ACT (various locations)

Start date: Negotiable

Salary: $76,574 - $85,000 per annum (plus superannuation)

Employment term: Permanent

Our Early Career Teacher Campaign offers Graduate and Preservice Teachers a streamlined pathway into a secure permanent teaching position within our network of 56 schools across the ACT and NSW, as well as nine early learning centres in the ACT. Kick start your career by applying now!

We're seeking passionate, dynamic and motivated graduate and preservice teachers to join the team at Canberra Goulburn Catholic Education with permanent teaching opportunities available in early learning, primary, secondary schools.

Catholic Education, Archdiocese Canberra & Goulburn (CECG) is an education provider in the ACT and southern NSW region with location settings that include city, rural, coastal, and remote. The Archdiocese spans 88,000 square kilometres from Pambula in the south to Goulburn and Crookwell in the north and Lake Cargelligo in the west.

Eligibility

  • Be eligible to be accredited with NESA or be assessed as suitable for a Permit to Teach with TQI (CECG will support you in the Permit to Teach process)
  • Valid working rights within Australia

Selection Criteria

  • Commitment to further learning and openness to developing teaching skills;
  • Ability to integrate the use of information and communication technologies to both engage students in their learning and prepare them for an increasingly technological society;
  • Developing knowledge of classroom practices and organisational skills that create supportive and safe environments for all students, including meeting a variety of learning needs;
  • Developing knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and/or NSW Curriculum with the ability to organise, select and design content for effective teaching and learning;
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage positively with colleagues and students; and
  • Currently completing the final one or two years of tertiary qualifications to become a teacher.
