Job Description

Position: Early Years Educator

Required experience: 2 years

Working Hours: 8:30 am to 3:00 pm

Location: Bangalore

The Role / Job Description

We are looking for Montessori teachers with an insight of progressive and alternative education. Our EY classroom is a mixed age group and inclusive. The candidates should be comfortable teaching children from the ages of 3-6 years and preferably (not compulsory) educated in special needs education.

To be a successful early childhood educator, you should be able to display strong communication skills and a kind and gentle demeanour when interacting with children. Ultimately, an outstanding early childhood educator should display patience and use creative ways to interact and engage with children.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching and following a daily routine.
  • Adapting the program to suit the needs of the individual child or group.
  • Consistently planning innovative ways of keeping children actively engaged.
  • Imparting knowledge to children through fun and play.
  • Ensuring the social and emotional growth of the child.
  • Addressing the physical needs of the individual child or group.
  • Composing detailed reports for parents.
  • Meeting with The Head of Department and Principal on a regular basis.
  • Adhering to the guidelines of the Education Department and State.

Qualifications & Skills

  • A relevant qualification in the field of education.
  • Professional certification specific to Early Years teaching and learning
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in the field, along with prior experience at international schools.
  • Ability to exercise patience when interacting with children.
  • A caring and approachable nature.
  • Knowledge of play-based learning.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Experience in implementing successful system change across an Early Years setting.
  • A play-based inquiry approach to teaching and learning and a student-centered approach to discipline.
