About Abacus

Abacus Montessori School is a contemporary school with a balance of academic learning, concern for the child and a strong value system.

To sustain new thinking in the life of the school every decision about every aspect of school management is deeply questioned and thought out, taking into account, above all, the needs of the child, and through that, the development of the teacher, the participation of the parent and the inclusion of the community.

The school has about 400 children from primary to class 12. Abacus is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations and the Cambridge Assessment International Education.

Current Openings

We are currently looking for educators who are interested in facilitating an alternative earth-centric and child-centric education and who can fill in the following roles:

1. Montessori trained adults to work with children in mixed age group environments of 3-6 years & 6-12 years

2. English, Tamil, History, Geography, Chemistry, Mathematics, Commerce & Economics teachers for Classes 9-12

3. Nature educators to work with children across classes
