We are hiring for an Engineering Manager for our New Product Unacademy Language Learning. Responsibilities: • Lead a team of skilled engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching to drive performance and career growth. • Define and implement best practices in software development, including coding standards, architecture design, and technical documentation. • Collaborate closely with product managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and project plans. • Oversee the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software products, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards. • Drive technical innovation and excellence, staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. • Champion software engineering principles and methodologies within the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning. • Actively participate in recruitment efforts, including interviewing, hiring decisions, and onboarding of new team members. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred. • At least 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with X years in a technical leadership role. • Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) and familiarity with modern software development tools and technologies. • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire technical teams, driving collaboration, innovation, and accountability. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. • Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget. • Deep understanding of software engineering principles, architecture patterns, and design principles. • Passion for technology, continuous learning, and driving technical excellence. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with the best SDLC methodologies and DevOps practices. • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). • Familiarity with microservices architecture, containerization, and orchestration technologies. • Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment.
