Job Description

We have an opening for Faculty at various levels in the Area of "Operations & Decision Science", "Entrepreneurship & Strategy" and "Business Analytics", "HR & OB" "and Liberal Arts" at our Lucknow, Noida, Jaipur & Indore Campus.

Job Details/Requisite:-

1. Job Title: - Professor

Job Purpose

Professor is at the highest rank in the academic hierarchy and is responsible for teaching, research, mentorship and services in the academic environment.

Academic and Operation

  • Design and deliver high-quality lectures, seminars, and practical sessions to students.
  • Develop innovative teaching methodologies that engage students and promote active learning.
  • Participate in curriculum development and assessment, adapting courses to reflect the latest advancements in the field.
  • Maintain an active and productive research agenda, leading to publications in reputable academic journals and conferences.
  • Seek external funding and grants to support research projects and collaborations.
  • Supervise students and provide mentorship in their research endeavors.
  • Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students, fostering their intellectual and professional development.
  • Participate in departmental and university committees, contributing to decision-making and academic policy development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
  • Engage in outreach activities to promote the university's academic reputation and community involvement.
  • Stay current with advancements in the field through continuous professional development, attending conferences, workshops, and seminars.
  • Contribute to the scholarship of teaching and learning by sharing best practices with colleagues.

Research Development

  • Conducting original research that adds to the body of knowledge in their discipline. This may involve designing experiments, collecting data, analyzing results, and drawing meaningful conclusions.
  • Assist in leadership roles in research centers, labs, and collaborative projects
  • Publish research findings in reputable academic journals, conference proceedings, and other scholarly publications. High-quality publications contribute to the dissemination of knowledge and enhance the reputation of both the professor and the university.
  • Seek external funding through grants, research awards, and fellowships to support their research projects. This may involve writing grant proposals, collaborating with colleagues, and demonstrating the significance and potential impact of the research.
  • Supervise graduate students (master's and doctoral) in their research projects. This involves guiding students through the research process, providing mentorship, and ensuring the quality of the research outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Pan Jaipuria to work on interdisciplinary projects, share expertise, and tackle complex research challenges.
  • Professors may present their research findings at conferences, workshops, and seminars of repute. This helps in engaging with peers, receiving feedback, and staying current with developments in the field.

Person Specification

  • Advance verbal and written communication and Influencing abilities are required,
  • A fervent dedication to the mission, goals, and values of Jaipuria Institute of Management
  • A personal commitment to and track record of productive and respectful collaborative working across all groups.
  • High level of Research Track record at International level is required.

Minimum Requirements & Experience

  • PhD from Top NIRF ranked Universities / Institutions or high ranked QS Global ranked Universities
  • Should have more than 10 years of teaching or research work experience with post Ph.D. at least 5 years of teaching/research experience.

2. Job Title: - Associate Professor

Job Purpose

Associate Professor is at the middle level of Academic faculty hierarchy and is typically responsible for Teaching, Research and Services pertaining to the Institute, professional bodies and social / academic communities.

Academic & Operational

  • Responsible for Teaching to the students as per the identified track
  • Plan conferences, workshops, seminars, and FDPs for teachers and students.
  • Help student development in accordance with industry standards.
  • Encourage students to use the resources offered by the Institution to expand their knowledge.
  • Set up a variety of training initiatives to help students hone their soft skills.
  • Participate in the admission of students and their counselling as per the requirement.
  • Participate actively in learning and use of evolved teaching and learning techniques

Research Development

  • Responsible for national and International paper publication, case study and articles.
  • Must create cutting-edge pedagogy in the respective area.
  • Compose or revise book or chapter manuscripts.
  • Submit supported projects and research proposal
  • Get students involved in diverse research initiatives and motivate them to write research papers.
  • Visit industries to learn about their practices and need.
  • Offer consulting services to industries.
  • Mentor PhD candidates and faculty members as per the requirement of the Institute.

Person Specification

  • Ph.D. from top 50 NIRF-rated institution, or high QS ranked university; minimum five years of teaching experience in a comparable field

3. Job Title: - Assistant Professor

Job Purpose

A faculty member's initial position on the career ladder is an Assistant Professor. In addition to teaching, research and academic engagement, the Assistant Professor is also expected to provide service, primarily at the level of the program or academic unit.

Key Accountability

  • Actively conducts Teaching classes to students as per the assigned Track.
  • Assist other faculty members and Academic Leaders in developing the curriculum.
  • Actively participate in academic and examination duties.
  • Conduct practical and tutorials in accordance with the assigned schedule.
  • Set up question papers.
  • Participate in the organising seminars, conferences, workshops, FDP, etc.
  • Identify and develop a variety of training programs for the students' soft skills
  • Plan study visits for students to ensure they have the necessary exposure.

Research Development

  • An Assistant Professor should demonstrate a high degree of research proficiency and be accountable for writing and publishing articles both domestically and globally.
  • Motivate students to write research papers by serving as co-investigator on research proposals.


  • Responsible for working closely with the students and mentor them.
  • Enable students in creating Individual Development Plan and facilitate them in their career development.
  • Actively involved in organizing convocations.
  • Actively involved in the admissions of students and their counseling.
  • Collaborate with Industry and Corporate in identifying their need as potential employer of students and develop employability of students.

Person Specification

  • Preferably a Ph.D. in the relevant, related, or concerned subjects from Top NIRF ranked University or high Q&S Ranked University.
  • Master's degree with at least 55% (or an equivalent grade on a point scale wherever grading is used) in a pertinent or related subject from an Indian university, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
  • Preferably should be NET OR SET OR SLET qualified as conducted by UGC.
  • A person without a Ph.D. but with a Master's Degree in a pertinent branch/discipline can be taken into consideration based on their work experience. The needed range of relevant experience is 0 to 5 years.
