Job Description :
The Food and Beverage Service Faculty at the International Institute of Hotel Management, Jaipur will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction in food and beverage service techniques to students pursuing a career in the hospitality industry. The teacher will develop and deliver engaging lesson plans, conduct practical demonstrations, and foster a positive learning environment that supports student success.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans for food and beverage service courses, ensuring alignment with the curriculum and industry standards.
- Instruct students in various food and beverage service techniques, including table setting, service styles, menu knowledge, and wine appreciation.
- Conduct practical demonstrations to help students develop hands-on skills in food and beverage service.
- Provide individualized attention to students, encouraging active participation and addressing their questions and concerns.
- Evaluate student performance through assessments, practical exams, and participation in classroom activities.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their skills and knowledge.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovations in food and beverage service, and incorporate relevant information into instructional materials.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and revise the food and beverage service curriculum to meet the needs of the industry.
- Participate in professional development activities and attend conferences and workshops to enhance teaching skills and industry knowledge.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
- Teaching experience or training in an educational setting is desirable.
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service techniques, including table setting, service styles, menu knowledge, and wine appreciation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students and colleagues.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to plan lessons and manage student assignments.
- Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans to promote student learning and participation.
- Proficient in using technology and multimedia tools to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
- Flexible and adaptable to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs of students.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and innovations in food and beverage service.
