Job Description :

The Food and Beverage Service Faculty at the International Institute of Hotel Management, Jaipur will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction in food and beverage service techniques to students pursuing a career in the hospitality industry. The teacher will develop and deliver engaging lesson plans, conduct practical demonstrations, and foster a positive learning environment that supports student success.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans for food and beverage service courses, ensuring alignment with the curriculum and industry standards.
2. Instruct students in various food and beverage service techniques, including table setting, service styles, menu knowledge, and wine appreciation.
3. Conduct practical demonstrations to help students develop hands-on skills in food and beverage service.
4. Provide individualized attention to students, encouraging active participation and addressing their questions and concerns.
5. Evaluate student performance through assessments, practical exams, and participation in classroom activities.
6. Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their skills and knowledge.
7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovations in food and beverage service, and incorporate relevant information into instructional materials.
8. Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and revise the food and beverage service curriculum to meet the needs of the industry.
9. Participate in professional development activities and attend conferences and workshops to enhance teaching skills and industry knowledge.
10. Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to effective learning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
• Teaching experience or training in an educational setting is desirable.

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service techniques, including table setting, service styles, menu knowledge, and wine appreciation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students and colleagues.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to plan lessons and manage student assignments.
• Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans to promote student learning and participation.
• Proficient in using technology and multimedia tools to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
• Flexible and adaptable to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs of students.
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and innovations in food and beverage service.
