A US-based corporation, Grok Global Services is a professional services firm exclusively focused on the international education sector. We provide local expertise and resources across a multitude of countries and regions, allowing our clients to strategically engage key student recruitment markets. This involves deploying staff to deliver in-person promotion of our client universities to various stakeholders, such as future students and their families, education consultants, and high school counselors. As our team continues to grow, we are looking for a dedicated, organized and detail-oriented person to support our administrative and HR function in India. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our day-to-day operations within the India entity.

Expectations of the HR and Administration Coordinator

The HR and Administration Coordinator reports to the Executive Director South Asia and is an HR generalist position, with a primary focus on the documentation of employee information, supporting the talent acquisition process, and the administration of staff benefits and reimbursements. While duties and responsibilities may evolve over time, at its core, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Coordinating new employee orientation and onboarding, including welcome kits, supporting orientation sessions, and facilitating new hire paperwork.
  • Managing employee records and ensuring compliance with record-keeping.
  • Assisting with payroll processing by managing expense reimbursement; ensuring accuracy and the timely submission of expenses by the wider team.
  • Maintain confidentiality: you must maintain strict confidentiality of all payroll-related information, including employee salary information, tax records, and personal data.
  • Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment and changes, and respond to employee inquiries related to benefits.You may need to coordinate with vendors and third-party providers, such as insurance companies, to ensure that employee benefits programs are running smoothly and that any issues are addressed promptly.
  • Providing guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support administration and HR-related projects, including conducting research and data analysis, and contributing to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Provide administrative support to the wider function.

Essential:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance. Preference for candidates with a Business Administration / Commerce degree.
  • 2 to 5 years of HR related-work experience.
  • Professional-level fluency in English.

Desired

  • Experience with HRIS software, such as applicant tracking systems, learning management systems, or HR database-driven software.
  • Completion of studies abroad or have other significant cross-cultural experiences.
