Job Description for Head Culinary chef We are SWAD Institute of Culinary and Pastry Arts, located in the heart of Surat, Gujarat. With a legacy spanning over 25 years since our establishment in 1997, we have upheld a tradition of imparting exceptional 'culinary & pastry education' and training to budding chefs & entrepreneurs. Responsibilities; - Instructing students on fundamental and advanced culinary techniques, including knife skills, food preparation, cooking methods, and presentation. - Designing lesson plans, course materials, and hands-on activities to facilitate learning and skill development in culinary arts. - Overseeing kitchen activities during practical sessions, ensuring safety, hygiene, and adherence to industry standards and regulations. - Develop innovative and industry-relevant culinary courses aligned with the institute's objectives. - Lead and inspire a team of culinary instructors, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development. - Cultivate partnerships with industry professionals, culinary organisations, and businesses to enrich student learning experiences through guest lectures, industry visits, and internship opportunities. Qualifications required; - Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in culinary or bakery arts, preferably with a background in Hospitality Management. - Ability to work within Surat, Gujarat. - Proven track record as a faculty member or instructor in a culinary institute or similar educational setting is preferable. - Exceptional culinary skills and proficiency in recipe development across diverse cuisines and baking techniques. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and inspire students of varying backgrounds and skill levels. - Flexibility to adapt teaching methodologies to both offline and online learning environments.
