Role: Head of Content

The Content Head is a pivotal position responsible for shaping and executing the content vision across all channels. In this role, you'll be driving our brand's content strategy, crafting captivating narratives that resonate with our audience across every channel imaginable.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Content strategy and leadership

  • Develop and execute a content strategy that's as dynamic as our brand, weaving together narratives that engage, educate, and entertain our users.
  • Oversee brand standards, content style guides, and incorporate brand’s narratives in content produced across app and digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in marketing, product, engagement and beyond to ensure seamless integration of content throughout the user journey.
  • Establish and maintain the brand's tone of voice to ensure consistency and authenticity across all content channels.
  • Understand the study abroad industry and student target audience. Analyzes market trends and competitor content effectively.
  • Champion a user-centric approach to content creation across product & app, prioritizing the needs and preferences of our audience above all.
  • Develop the content calendar to distribute content across digital channels such as Social media, video, SEO etc.

B. Team management

  • Lead and mentor the content team (written and visual), fostering continuous professional growth.
  • Handle team hiring, appraisals, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers, copywriters, and freelancers to ensure cohesive content creation.

C. Quality assurance & timely delivery

  • Oversee content quality, ensuring it meets brand standards and resonates with target audiences.
  • Monitor content production timelines and ensure timely delivery.
  • Manage content budgets effectively. Ensure every dollar spent delivers maximum impact and ROI.

Data Analysis and Optimization

Dive deep into the data to uncover insights that inform our content strategy, constantly refining and optimizing to ensure we're hitting the mark.

KPIs

  • Daily active users on app - Indicates the number of unique users who interact with the app on a daily basis, reflecting the app's stickiness and relevance.
  • Average session duration on portal
  • Engagement on social media posts, Youtube videos
  • Reduced user drop offs across marketing funnels. U2L.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience (6+ years) in content marketing, digital media, or a related role, preferably within the tech or startup ecosystem.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and empower a team to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally to drive results
  • Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and a keen eye for detail.
  • Data-driven approach to content strategy, with proficiency in analytics tools to track and measure performance.
  • Familiarity with product growth, marketing/sales funnels and UX/UI principles is a plus.
  • Passion for staying abreast of technological advancements and industry trends.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices
