About the job: As the Head of Operations, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the operational efficiency of our company. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to streamline processes, improve customer service, and enhance overall operational performance. Your leadership and expertise will contribute to our company's success by ensuring seamless operations and outstanding customer experiences. You will report to the Chief Operating Officer. Responsibilities: · Strategic Planning: Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives to drive efficiency, growth, and profitability. · Process Optimization: Continuously assess and improve operational processes to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction. · Relationships with Stakeholders: Manage relationships with suppliers, clients, customers and other stakeholders and provide a point of escalation for any issues that arise. · Operational Performance: Ensure that every aspect of the program delivery on the ground is planned, tracked and completed with efficiency and in a timely manner. · Proposal Creation: Ensure that program proposals are prepared in time and are high-quality and cost-effective to meet or exceed budget requirements. · Program Delivery: Ensure that the programs are delivered efficiently according to a specified SOPs and checklists, resulting in a customer NPS score of 90 or above. · Team Management: Lead and inspire a team of operations professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance evaluations to ensure a high-performing and motivated workforce. · Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor operational performance of team and programs, regularly reporting on metrics and implementing corrective actions as needed. · Supply Chain Management: Oversee the procurement, inventory management, and vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of services and products, optimizing cost and quality. · Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality control measures to maintain service standards and ensure compliance with industry regulations. · Crisis Management: Develop and implement contingency plans to handle potential disruptions or crises in the travel industry, ensuring business continuity and customer support. · Technology Integration: Identify and implement appropriate technology solutions to automate processes, enhance efficiency, and support operational excellence. · Communication & Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including CEO, COO, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Service, to align operational goals with overall company objectives. · Industry Trends Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in travel operations, and recommend relevant improvements and innovations to stay ahead of the competition. Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. · Proven experience in a senior operations management role, preferably within the education / travel industry, with a focus on travel / academic operations · Strong leadership and people-management skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. · Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of implementing process improvements. · Preferred experience in and knowledge of education / travel industry operations, including supply chain management, logistics, and customer service. · Familiarity with industry-specific software and technologies for education / travel operations management. · Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. · Strong business acumen and strategic thinking to drive growth and profitability. · Proven ability to adapt to changing industry dynamics and market trends. · Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance within the education / travel industry.
