- A vibrant educator with great interpersonal skills and leadership qualities with keen understanding of National and International curriculum. (CBSE, IGCSE)
- 10+ years of experience in teaching.
- 5+ years of experience in school administration.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for educational leadership, internal organisation, management, control, development and success of the school.
- Formulating the overall aims and objectives of the school and policies for their implementation.
- Develops and administers disciplinary procedures in accordance with organisational policies, and applicable laws
- Establish policies, procedures and standards for the department’s faculty, staff and students
- Nurture a positive workplace culture and student learning environment
- Serve as an advocate to the school’s provost for the resource requirements of the department
- Lead the scholarly, research and educational activities of the department, such as planning curricula in collaboration with faculty members
- Conduct periodic program reviews as required by the school
- Participation in the selection and appointment of teaching and non-teaching staff.
- Deployment and management of all staff employed in the school.
- Evaluating the standards of teaching and learning in the school.
- Training to teachers.
- Ensure proper standards of professional performance are established and maintained.
- Supervise and participate in the appraisal of all staff as part of an agreed performance management programs.
- Ensure the monitoring and recording of student progress.
- Determining and implementing a policy for the pastoral care of students.
- Promoting self-discipline and good behaviour among students.
- Ensuring the maintenance of good order and discipline at all times.
- Arranging for parents to be given regular information about the curriculum, the progress of their children and other matters affecting the school.
- Maintaining liaison with other schools and establishments where appropriate arrangements for the security and effective supervision and maintenance of the school premises.
- Preparing appropriate budgets.
- Ensuring that the Fee Payments are maintained.
- Responsible for planning school functions and events.
- Responsible for student intake and admission procedures.
Managerial Leadership and Team Development:
- Manages all staff members who embody the mission and beliefs of the organisation.
- Builds a strong, cohesive team culture that reflects core values of the organisation.
- Works in collaboration with senior management & Head of academics to develop a road map for expansion and improvement.
- Supervise the hiring and management of the school staff.
- Plans and implements professional development for the teaching staff.
- Supervises the creation and implementation of effective professional development opportunities for the staff.
- Develops systematic performance evaluation of academic staff.
- Implements policies & practices to appropriately recognise and reward excellence and effectively address poor performance.
- Oversees employee relations across the school, ensuring cohesion and collaboration among all school staff.
Educational Leadership & Academic Support
- Develops and supervises the process of aligning school programs with the mission, beliefs, priorities, and initiatives of school.
- Institutes strong accountability systems and professional development opportunities for the schools.
- Develops and implements long range plans for curriculum, instructional evaluation, and school improvement.
- Ensures that all key stakeholders have a clear plan for improvement of instruction and school culture.
- Develops implements and reviews important school policies for all stakeholders: parents, teachers and students to ensure addressable, capacity building and intellectual and emotional growth.
- Helms the learning and physical environment in alignment with the pedagogy, board and overall vision of the school.
Strategic Planning and Decision making:
- Engages senior management team in academic program analysis
- Manages long-term and annual school planning and updates the senior management team on budgets and financial planning for resource allocation in the school
- Proposes ,recommends and implements improvement plans in academic and admin segments
- Participates in board meetings to set agendas for the strategy for brand development
- Informs and advises school board and leadership about the programs, practices, and challenges of the school
- Develops a vision and a comprehensive long-range plan as it relates to the actions of the school
- Organise Review meetings with senior management to review quarterly school reports to ensure the timely management of requirements
General Management:
- Ensures all school segments have clearly articulated plans for daily operations and implementation of student services, including support services, discipline and management, and crisis intervention.
- Works with all school segments to create and implement a comprehensive and fiscally sustainable annual operating budget.
- Supervises to ensure adherence to the Board-approved final budget.
