Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Delivery:
    • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons in history to students in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.
    • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Subject Expertise:
    • Demonstrate expertise in the field of history, with a strong understanding of historical concepts, events, and developments.
    • Foster students' interest in history through interactive and thought-provoking lessons that promote critical thinking and inquiry.
  • Classroom Management:
    • Establish and maintain a positive and orderly learning environment conducive to academic achievement and personal growth.
    • Manage classroom behavior effectively and implement disciplinary measures as necessary, in accordance with school policies.
  • Assessment and Evaluation:
    • Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods, including tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations.
    • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic progress and development.
  • Student Support and Guidance:
    • Provide academic support and guidance to students, including remedial assistance and enrichment activities as needed.
    • Encourage students to develop critical thinking, research, and analytical skills through historical inquiry and investigation.
  • Parent Communication:
    • Communicate regularly with parents regarding students' academic progress, behavior, and achievements.
    • Collaborate with parents to address any concerns or challenges related to students' learning and development.

Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Masters degree in History or related field; B.Ed. or equivalent teaching certification is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience as a TGT - Social Science (History) Teacher in a CBSE or similar educational setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for history, with the ability to make historical concepts and events relevant and engaging for students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students.
  • Proficiency in integrating technology and multimedia resources into history instruction is preferred.
  • Commitment to professional growth and development, with a willingness to participate in ongoing training and learning opportunities.
