Brief Overview of the Job Description: The Home Room Teacher for the Cambridge Syllabus at Stages 1 to 5 is responsible for creating a nurturing and intellectually stimulating environment for primary students, following the standards set by Cambridge International Education within a classroom setting. Key Responsibilities: 1. Implement educational strategies aligned with the Cambridge curriculum. 2. Build and maintain positive relationships with students and parents, ensuring open communication. 3. Design and implement effective assessment processes to gauge student progress. 4. Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary lesson plans to enhance learning outcomes. 5. Personalize instruction to cater to the diverse learning needs of students. 6. Analyze student data to adapt teaching strategies for improved academic performance. 7. Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance teaching practices. 8. Contribute to school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities to enrich the student experience. 9. Uphold child welfare and safer recruitment practices at all times. 10. Actively engage in school events and committees to contribute to the school community. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in education or related field (Master's preferred). - Teaching certification/license preferred (CIDTL/CICTL). - 3-6 years of teaching experience in a Cambridge-affiliated school. Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Cambridge International Education curriculum and assessment frameworks. Skills: - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Organizational skills for effective classroom management. - Innovative teaching methodologies and personalized instruction. - Familiarity with educational platforms aligned with the Cambridge curriculum.
