Overview:

We are looking for an Infrastructure Consultant for the Education Consultancy Project based in Nashik. The objective of the project is to transform and enhance the existing 100 Municipal Schools (88 primary and 12 secondary) involving 30,000 Children into Smart Schools in an endeavor to improve the quality of education delivery at schools.

Role and Responsibilities:

This role is a client-facing role as well as a backend support role and the selected candidate shall be expected to work closely with the client, internal Palladium teams as well as experts onboarded from time to time. The candidate shall be allotted work related to this project or any other project activity in Palladium. The candidate is expected to assist Palladium in driving the project ensuring the preparation of quality deliverables as well as assisting in day-to-day operations including:

  • Preliminary Site Assessment across all the existing schools, condition assessment of these schools with respect to Infrastructure (Civil, Soft infrastructure, Health, Sanitation and sports facility etc.)
  • Benchmarking of the current state of Infrastructure vis-à-vis national Indicators for education and benchmarking of available facilities etc.
  • Gap analysis and requirement gathering with respect to the provision of basic amenities, school maintenance, enrolment, Teacher to Subject to Classroom ratio.
  • Design workflow charts and write requirements for system changes
  • Assist in DPR preparation, and bid process activities for implementation of Smart schools.
  • Assist team in preparing various letters, reports and presentations related to the project, MPR, Policies, SOPs, Guidelines, and other documents etc.
  • Propose a plan for Architectural and Infrastructure Improvement/Upliftment / New Facilities including Sports facilities, amenities, classrooms, and overall design.
  • Assist in day-to-day tasks and coordination related to various activities/meetings or any potential project
  • Gathering field data for relevant and other industries/sectors and perform research and analysis wherever required
  • Manage and monitor day-to-day operations on the project and address any operational discrepancy of the project
  • Any other activities and documents as desired by the department or Palladium

Requirements:

  • B. Tech/ B.E. (Civil Engineering)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience across project management in the Infrastructure sector
  • Experience in Infrastructure DPR Preparation
  • Experience in Large Scale Government Project Management with Central Govt/ State Govt/ ULBs in the area of Urban service delivery or infrastructure development, involving coordination with multiple stakeholders such as consultants, contractors, implementing agencies, technicians, government staff, multiple departments, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships across teams and organizations
  • Speaking, Writing and Reading in Fluent Marathi, Hindi and English languages is preferred
