We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lower Secondary Special Educator to join our team at our CBSE School. As a Special Educator, you will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in the lower secondary grades.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, based on their unique learning requirements.
- Deliver specialized instruction in various subjects, adapting teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of students.
- Assess students' academic and social progress regularly, and modify instructional strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment that supports the academic and social development of all students.
- Provide support and guidance to classroom teachers in implementing accommodations and modifications for students with special needs.
- Utilize assistive technology and other resources to enhance students' learning experiences.
- Monitor and track students' progress, maintaining accurate records and preparing reports as required.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on students' progress and discuss strategies for supporting their learning at home.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Special Educator, preferably in a CBSE school setting.
- RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) license or certification is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong knowledge of special education principles, practices, and strategies.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Experience in using assistive technology and other resources to support students' learning.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with special needs.
