Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive individual to join our team as a Manager for Studios Support & Operations. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless functioning of our studios dedicated to faculty lectures, recordings, media, and content preparations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in studio operations, audiovisual technology, and team management.
Key Responsibilities:
Studios Management:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple studios used for faculty lectures, media creation, and content preparations.
• Ensure all studio equipment is well-maintained, operational, and meets quality standards.
• Manage and oversee a diverse range of studios, including lecture capture studios, production studios, sound booths, and editing suites.
• Schedule studio bookings and resources, prioritizing needs and maximizing space utilization.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols for each studio type. Technical Support:
• Provide technical support to faculty and staff during studio sessions, troubleshooting any issues promptly.
• Collaborate with IT and technical teams to address and resolve studio equipment and technology-related challenges.
Team Leadership:
• Lead and manage a team of studio technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, ensuring efficient studio operations.
Quality Assurance:
• Implement and enforce quality control measures for studio recordings and content creation.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to technical and content standards.
Project Coordination:
• Collaborate with content creators, faculty, and other stakeholders to coordinate studio bookings and ensure timely project deliveries.
• Manage the scheduling and allocation of studio resources efficiently. Equipment Procurement:
• Assess and recommend upgrades or new equipment purchases to enhance studio capabilities.
• Work closely with procurement to source and purchase necessary equipment.
Technical Skills:
• Understanding of broadcast technologies and live streaming setups.
• Experience with studio automation systems and control software.
• IT skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and address network-related issues.
• Proven proficiency in audio/video recording and production software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Pro Tools, OBS Studio).
• Hands-on experience with studio equipment, including cameras, microphones, lighting, & audio mixers.
• Strong understanding of video and audio editing principles and techniques.
• Familiarity with content management systems and digital asset management solutions.
• Networking skills and experience with maintaining studio infrastructure.
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting AV recording and streaming systems.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Media Production, Broadcasting, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience (8-12 years) in studio operations, including audiovisual technology and content creation.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Technical proficiency in studio equipment, recording technologies, and audiovisual systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant studio management software.
• Project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
• Problem-solving attitude and ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
