Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Math Faculty Member to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in test preparation for US standardized tests such as GRE, GMAT, SAT and ACT. Candidates who also have experience with teaching Advanced Placement subjects such as Physics, Calculus and Computer Science A will be preferred.
As a member of our faculty, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging and interactive online and classroom-based lectures and activities, evaluating and grading student coursework, and providing academic support and guidance to students.
Job Description:
• Teach Quantitative Concepts: Responsible for teaching quantitative concepts to students preparing for standardized tests like the SAT, ACT, APs, GRE, and GMAT. This will involve developing course materials, delivering offline as well as online lectures, and designing assignments and assessments.
• Develop Curriculum: Work with the test prep manager and other faculty members to develop and update the program's curriculum, including course content, structure, and pacing.
• Conduct Practice Tests: Administer and score practice tests to help students prepare for the actual test. They will also use these tests to identify areas of weakness and develop personalized study plans for individual students.
• Monitor Student Progress: Track and monitor the progress of their students and provide feedback to help them improve their performance. This may involve one-on-one meetings, group sessions, or online communication.
• Stay Current with Test Trends: Stay up to date with changes to standardized tests and develop new strategies and materials to help students prepare for them.
• Collaborate with Other Faculty: Work collaboratively with other faculty members to ensure that students receive a comprehensive and cohesive test prep experience.
• Maintain Records: Keep detailed records of student progress, attendance, and performance. They will also maintain records of their own teaching materials and assessments.
Qualifications:
• Masters or equivalent degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in teaching GMAT/GRE/SAT/ACT in a test prep company preferred
• Strong teaching skills and a passion for working with high school, university students.
• Demonstrated expertise in quantitative methods and techniques.
• Ability to design and deliver engaging and interactive classroom lectures and activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other faculty members and academic staff.
• Ability to mentor and advise students on academic and career-related matters.
• Experience with curriculum development and assessment preferred.
