Job Purpose

As a national sales manager, individual will lead Business Development function and ensure capability building across levels for the vertical in India. Develop and groom the BD team into a high-performance unit and promote cross-selling culture across team. Effectively manage the overall sales objectives, goals, and revenue of the vertical.

  • Lead nationwide School BD Team members to achieve sales targets.
  • Develop and implement effective School Acquisition Strategies.
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements.
  • Perform research and identify new potential schools and new market opportunities.
  • Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with the school's needs.
  • Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency.
  • Keep abreast of new product launches and ensure BD team members are on board.
  • Negotiate and close agreements with large customers.
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the BD department.
  • Creation and execution of business development plan and strategy (Including promotions and reach agenda) in alignment with CUPA India
  • Someone who has a very strong sense of solution selling (having a strong comprehensive vision of selling products & services of CUPA)

Principal Accountabilities

  • Accountability of overall top-line, bottom-line, revenue generation and cost of sales for the business
  • Collaborate closely with different colleagues within the organisation to add value and services to the customers.
  • Have in-depth product and solutions knowledge across the organisation.
  • Propose Cambridge suite of products & services to these customers, evaluate the best fits and pitch relevant product offerings.
  • Track and analyse current and past school acquisition trends to analyse the school acquisition and cost of acquisition to ensure achievement

Knowledge & Experience

  • Must have min 15 – 20 years of experience in Sales, Business Development & Key Business Account Management in selling solutions to schools or selling franchise opportunities in K12 segment or selling digital solutions in K12 in the EdTech product industry.
  • Someone who has an existing relationship with Group Schools
  • Must have managed annual sales budgets and collections comparable in scale to verticals India budgets.
  • People Leader & Collaboration Skill – it's a team lead role that demands managing Regional Managers.
