We are looking for an experienced and passionate PGT Chemistry Teacher to join our CBSE School. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Chemistry to students of classes 11th and 12th.
- Planning, preparing and delivering lessons to all students in the class.
- Teaching according to the educational needs, abilities and achievement of the individual students and groups of students.
- Adapting teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
- Encouraging and monitoring the progress of individual students.
- Maintaining discipline in the classroom.
- Preparing and setting tests, examination papers, and exercises.
- Marking and providing appropriate feedback on oral and written work.
- Researching new topic areas, maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge, and devising and writing new curriculum materials.
- Selecting and using a range of different learning resources and equipment, including podcasts and interactive whiteboards.
- Undertaking pastoral duties, such as taking on the role of form tutor, and supporting pupils on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties.
- Participating in and organizing extracurricular activities, such as outings, social activities and sporting events.
- Participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings and whole school training events.
- Undertaking regular assessment of pupils and tracking of pupil progress.
- Providing advice and guidance to pupils on educational and social matters.
- Liaising with other professionals, such as learning mentors, careers advisers, educational psychologists and education welfare officers.
- Undertaking professional development activities.
- Performing administrative duties, such as keeping student registers and attendance records.
The ideal candidate should have a Master's degree in Chemistry and a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE School. The candidate should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
