PGT History Teacher for CBSE School (Job Vacancy)

We are looking for an experienced and passionate PGT History Teacher to join our CBSE School. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching History to students of classes 11th and 12th.

Responsibilities:

• Planning, preparing and delivering lessons to all students in the class.
• Teaching according to the educational needs, abilities and achievement of the individual students and groups of students.
• Adapting teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
• Encouraging and monitoring the progress of individual students.
• Maintaining discipline in the classroom.
• Preparing and setting tests, examination papers, and exercises.
• Marking and providing appropriate feedback on oral and written work.
• Researching new topic areas, maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge, and devising and writing new curriculum materials.
• Selecting and using a range of different learning resources and equipment, including podcasts and interactive whiteboards.
• Undertaking pastoral duties, such as taking on the role of form tutor, and supporting pupils on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties.
• Participating in and organizing extracurricular activities, such as outings, social activities and sporting events.
• Participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings and whole school training events.
• Undertaking regular assessment of pupils and tracking their progress.
• Providing advice and guidance to pupils on educational and social matters.
• Liaising with other professionals, such as learning mentors, careers advisers, educational psychologists and education welfare officers.
• Undertaking professional development activities.
• Attending and contributing to parents' evenings.
• Communicating with parents and careers over pupils' progress and participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings and whole school training events.

Requirements:

• Above 50% marks in the highest qualification
• Master's degree in History or related field.
• B Ed qualification is mandatory
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Knowledge of CBSE curriculum.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
