Responsibilities: - Manage the school library and ensure it is well-organized and conducive to learning. - Develop and maintain a collection of books, periodicals, and other resources that support the curriculum. - Assist students and teachers in finding and using library resources effectively. - Teach library and research skills to students in a way that is engaging and informative. - Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into lesson plans and projects. - Stay current on trends in library science and education to continuously improve library services. - Promote a love of reading and lifelong learning among students. - Participate in school events and activities, including parent-teacher meetings and professional development sessions. - Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration. Skills and Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field. - Experience working in a school library or educational setting. - Strong organizational and communication skills. - Knowledge of library management systems and digital resources. - Ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and parents. - Passion for promoting literacy and a love of reading. - Familiarity with the CBSE curriculum is preferred.
