As a PHP Developer, this is what you’ll be doing:

We are actively searching for a PHP Developer with a strong passion for programming and product creation, ready to join our dynamic and friendly team dedicated to revolutionising the higher education sector.

You will be instrumental in developing innovative solutions for issues faced during student onboarding, mobility, funding management, and marketing partnerships in higher education institutions worldwide. Working closely with our product managers and designers, you will have the unique chance to develop top-tier products from concept to launch.

Our ideal candidate possesses in-depth knowledge of the tools, technologies, and methodologies necessary to deliver exceptional customer experiences and high-performance software. We're looking for true artisans who take significant pride in their work.

Role responsibilities:

• Writing clean, well-structured, and efficient PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS code.
• Writing back-end code and building efficient PHP modules
• Developing back-end portals with an optimized database.
• Troubleshooting application and code issues.
• And any other additional duties as required.

Key skills and experience:

• Up to 4 years' experience in PHP and frameworks like Zend, CodeIgniter etc.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS, JavaScript, HTML, jQuery, React, Angular etc.
• Understanding of object-oriented PHP programming.
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with RESTfulAPIs and integration.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug code effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to writing clean, maintainable code.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with designers, developers, and stakeholders.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic knowledge of NodeJS will be an added advantage.
