Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Payroll Head to join our team in Bangalore. The Payroll Zonal Head will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing and administration for our organization. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of payroll regulations and compliance standards in India.

Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.
• Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures in compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity in payroll systems.
• Coordinate with HR and Finance departments to resolve payroll-related issues and inquiries.
• Prepare payroll reports and analysis for management review.
• Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and update internal policies accordingly.
• Lead payroll audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and external audits.
• Provide guidance and support to team members involved in payroll processing.
• Handle employee queries and concerns related to payroll in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline payroll processes and drive efficiency initiatives.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and recommend improvements to enhance payroll operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in payroll processing and administration, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements in India.
• Experience with payroll software and proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven track record of effectively managing payroll operations and driving process improvements.
• Certification in Payroll Management or related field is a plus.
