Job Description

THE POSITION

The Shiv Nadar School seeks a creative People & Culture Partner at the Core team who is competent, passionate, and dedicated to bringing in change and innovation within the education sector. The P&C Partner will be responsible for managing the overall People & Culture strategies and practices across all campuses of Shiv Nadar School along with strengthening the existing processes and operations with support to all campus P&C Team. The P&C partner must have a progressive mindset with the ability to translate vision into reality through a strong execution orientation and proven track record of delivery. This role largely requires the appointed person to collaborate closely with school stakeholders to drive People & Culture Practices

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

RECRUITMENT, TALENT MANAGEMENT AND RETENTION

  1. Oversee manpower planning and requisition for school campuses with campus People and Culture team.
  2. Oversee manpower deployment as per organogram.
  3. Build relationships with placement firms, take lead on leadership hiring and be actively involved in interviews of senior hires with sourcing, hiring, selection as per requirements.
  4. Manage attrition and devise measures to promote retention of staff.
  5. Maintain a succession plan for all the schools and departments and discuss this on a continuous basis with respective Principals and Department Heads.
  6. Will be the custodian of all P&C policies related to recruitment, talent development, management and retention.

ON BOARDING & INDUCTION

  1. Oversee on-boarding plan and schedule for new employees at campuses with P&C teams.
  2. Facilitate induction and on-boarding process for new employees across campuses in collaboration with P&C teams.
  3. Facilitate meetings and introduction to stakeholders as per induction plan for Senior Leadership roles.

EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT, COMMUNICATION, REWARD & RECOGNITION

  1. Facilitate employee engagement initiatives at campuses in collaboration with central and school P&C teams.
  2. Create and drive R&R initiatives and events for entire Shiv Nadar School community across all campuses.

HUMAN RESOURCES POLICY

  1. Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law and advise the senior management of the organization on the necessary changes in policy, practice, and resources.
  2. From time to time bring about improvements in internal HR systems and processes to build efficiency and robustness in all HR activities.
  3. Monitor and ensure all policies and procedures are up to date and the organization is compliant with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance and recommend best practices.
  4. Have oversight and ensure policies are implemented appropriately across the organization.
  5. Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organizations human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

  1. Design and deliver initiatives which foster a high-performance culture, including that of reward and recognition of high performers.
  2. Coordinate the performance management of employees and ensure all Job Descriptions are kept up to date and create new JDs as and when necessary.
  3. Ensure appraisal cycle is completed within the stipulated timeframe across campuses.
  4. Chalk out strategies for putting in place a robust performance support plan.

TRAINING / LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT

  1. Oversee and support training needs analysis for all staff and design and implement a training plan with input from department heads and school teams.
  2. Design models / opportunities to develop latent interest, talents and qualities of staff that will be beneficial to organizational growth.
  3. Facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities for People and Culture employees.
