Job Description

Pharmaceutical Laboratory Technician

We are looking for a skilled “Pharmaceutical Laboratory Technician” for Vishwakarma University, Pune with 2+ years of experience in PCI approved/ recognized Pharmacy College/University and who is ready to take the responsibilities and to give his/her best while working in the laboratory.

Job duties and responsibilities:

  1. Preparing samples and specimens for performing lab tests.
  2. Executing routine tasks and following the strict methodologies for carrying out analyses.
  3. Maintains glassware by picking-up, cleaning, washing, sterilizing, and distributing,
  4. Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs,
  5. Ordering, receiving and inventorying glassware,
  6. Keeps laboratory supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders and verifying receipt,
  7. Follows up stock levels with regards to alarms thresholds, stock out, expiry dates and drugs to expire,
  8. Document the information by maintaining the daily logs and equipment record books,
  9. Execute the pharmacy/medical warehouse storing activities in order to keep pharmacy stock above security level and following recommended conditions temperature, humidity, etc. as per the needs of the stock,
  10. Ensure cleanliness of stock, maintain refrigerating equipment in close collaboration with the logistics department etc.,
  11. Sharing weekly updates with the supervising authority,
  12. Supports laboratory staff by and helping with special projects,
  13. Any other work assigned by higher authority.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum experience of 2 years in PCI approved/recognized pharmacy college/university.
  • PCI recognized Diploma of Pharmacy,
  • Operations monitoring.
  • Familiarity with laboratory guidelines of the government and regulatory bodies,
  • Working knowledge of English and Marathi/Hindi language,
  • Store management skills
  • Inventory control skills
