We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Online Phonics Teacher to join our team. As an Online Phonics Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality phonics instruction to students in an online learning environment. Your primary goal will be to help students develop strong phonemic awareness, decoding skills, and fluency in reading.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct online phonics lessons following a structured curriculum.
- Utilize interactive teaching tools and resources to engage students during lessons.
- Assess students' phonics skills and provide constructive feedback on their progress.
- Develop individualized learning plans to address the specific needs of each student.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment to enhance student motivation and engagement.
- Communicate effectively with students and their parents/guardians to provide updates on progress and address any concerns.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to share best practices and improve instructional strategies.
- Stay updated with current trends and research in phonics instruction and implement effective teaching techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and assessment results.
- Attend regular staff meetings and professional development sessions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field (a teaching certification is a plus).
- Proven experience in teaching phonics to students, preferably in an online setting.
- Strong knowledge of phonics instructional methods and techniques.
- Familiarity with online teaching platforms and tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with students of varying ages and abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple students and tasks simultaneously.
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable working environment for online teaching.
- Flexibility to work during the specified hours (Monday to Saturday, 3 pm to 9 pm).
