Placement Coordinator (Job Vacancy)

We are currently seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Placement Coordinator focused on assisting Civil Engineering students in securing employment opportunities.

1. Industry Partner Engagement:

• Cultivate and nurture relationships with engineering firms, construction companies, government agencies, and other relevant organizations to understand their hiring needs and internship opportunities.
• Organize networking events, career fairs, and employer presentations to facilitate interaction between students and potential employers.

2. Student Guidance and Support:

• Offer resume and cover letter reviews, interview preparation workshops, and career development resources to help students effectively market themselves to employers.
• Conduct career assessments and workshops to help students explore different career paths within the field of Civil Engineering.

3. Placement Coordination:

• Coordinate internship programs, including paperwork management, student progress monitoring, and evaluation in collaboration with employers.
• Assist students in navigating the internship and job application process, from submitting applications to negotiating offers, to ensure successful placements.

4. Data Management and Reporting:

• Utilize student information systems and career services management platforms to track student engagement, internship placements, and employment outcomes.
• Generate reports and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of career services programs and initiatives.
• Prepare and present reports on internship and employment outcomes to stakeholders, including faculty, administrators, and industry partners.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Previous 1 yrs+ experience in career services, recruitment, or talent acquisition, preferably in the engineering or construction industry.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with database management software.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
